pajamas by six and not a minute later

After a stressful few days and a busy day at work, I was about ready to head right to bed when we got home. Instead, I took a hot bath and got right into my PJ’s by six o’clock and just relaxed. I put on a Friends DVD(before Adam turned it off out of protest because, basically, I watch a lot of Friends) and ate dinner by seven. All of that makes for one good, long evening and a perfect way to recover from the weekend-ending shock of Monday, I say.

Hope your Monday was fairly painless!

A happy father’s day…

…to this guy, my dad, who taught me the importance of being kind to others and for always being there for me when I needed him.

…to my amazing step-dad, Dave.

…to my wonderful father-in-law, Vic.

Also, to my husband who will one day be a father and to my heavenly father.

I love you!

Love,

Katy

shopping local

Last Saturday we hit up our local farmer’s market here in Charlotte. To put it simply, it’s huge. They even have a permanent sign on I-77 directing you to the majestic wonder that is the Charlotte Regional Farmer’s Market. We only just discovered it a few months ago and I don’t know how, in two years, we hadn’t been here yet. If I ever get the moolah for a juicer, I’m coming here for the goods. We spend half the amount we do on produce in the grocery store and they have more than just food. Go early enough on a Saturday and you’ll be able to check out the crafts section or perhaps plants and herbs? I mean, everything you need is here. Dinner is served. So is breakfast. Does a pallet of thirty eggs sound good?

If you live in or around Charlotte, I highly recommend you get yourself here. It’s awesome. For your first visit, come in the morning and check out the craziness of it all. Once you’re a seasoned pro, head over around three o’clock. It’s a lot calmer and you can get in and out quickly. Both experiences warrant…experiencing.

This weekend we have another weekend at home which sounds just fine to me! It’s been a really stressful week, so I’m happy to have some time to relax. We’ll probably hit this place up again(we eat a lot of eggs in this house), hang out with some friends and sleep. Lots and lots of sleep.

Hope you all have a wonderful, relaxing weekend!
