On Sunday we took down our tree. I was just a bit sad as we took down those twinkling lights and wrapped up each delicate ornament. That tree was the best smelling one I’ve ever had and was cut from the property my mom and step-dad live, I’d vote it my most favorite tree yet. I had my eye on this tree since this summer while I was still in shorts and sandals. It was and always will be our first North Carolina tree. Our first Christmas in our new town and our new chapter of life. This was probably the least bittersweet holiday yet, though. As I said goodbye to the holiday season, I felt very at peace with where I am. I am where I want to be, where I’m supposed to be. I’m so blessed. I’m ready for a new year and a fresh, clean slate. Ready to take on the world. So we will see you next year ornaments, garland and wonderful smelling pine needles. We’re happy to be at the start of a brand new year. I have a feeling it’ll be one of the best yet.

love your attitude these days, love!
also – i have those sparkly large reindeer in SILVER. [my grandmother sent them to me last year from Tennessee!!] next year, we should do a “how to” crafty/decoraty thing with them on both of our sites – don’t you think!?

Ooo yes, sounds lovely! I got mine from TJ Maxx or Marshalls…or maybe it was Ross? One of those places, you know. I set them in a sea of red garland this year. So cute and festive. :)
