Pennymoon.

This weekend we had what we jokingly refer to as a “Pennymoon”. You know how couples have “babymoons” to celebrate one last trip as a couple without kids? Well, we had already planned a weekend away to the mountains for my step-dad’s annual birthday BBQ before we knew we’d be adopting another pup. When we had to make a quick decision on adopting Penny(yes, we finally named her, Penny Lane), our trainer agreed to watch her for us. We were originally going to wait to decide until this week and we didn’t feel comfortable letting her roam free in the mountains, since she hardly knew her own name. So, we took one last trip as a one dog family and loved on Nola all weekend. We picked Penny up yesterday and Nola quickly realized that Penny wasn’t going anywhere. Hopefully the transition continues to go smoothly. But with a face like that? We’re not quite sure how Nola feels about it..

Oh and yes, I realize I Instagram way too many pictures of my dogs. I’m trying to cut it down to a one dog photo a week habit.
